Royal Milk Tea is essentially, a black tea (English Afternoon is most commonly consumed with milk). In fact, Kirin's 午後の紅茶 is essentially that, a variant on the British English Afternoon, with milk. All of which have their roots with British royalty. Hence, its British heritage by way of Japan.

Which, is probably neither here nor there. Just as a bit of a tea enthusiast, I thought I might mention it.

Out of the Kit Kats I have had, I must say I delight in these the most so far. Whenever I'm in Japan I consume Royal Milk tea (as well the previously mentioned 午後の紅茶) with the greatest frequency. The slight hint of the milky tea I love so much in these Kit Kat with the smooth and buttery white 'chocolate' is absolutely sublime.

I think you're spot on with not drinking them with Royal Milk Tea as it would be too much for the palette to handle. However, I did find them to be a suitable companion for Royal Milk Tea milkshakes.

Cheers,
RazMichael Rasburyhttp://razterized.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6900156098807223953.post-1583666214504138142010-02-27T17:50:26.658-05:002010-02-27T17:50:26.658-05:00that royal milk tea is available at Mitsuwa market...that royal milk tea is available at Mitsuwa markets in the U.S. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6900156098807223953.post-18618466538377873892010-01-02T00:05:43.076-05:002010-01-02T00:05:43.076-05:00Just got this and it's not too bad.
